Pre Vs iPhone

Ok lets take a deep breath. At CES this year Palm revealed the Palm Pre. This is some pretty heavy follow up competition to the Apple iPhone. But will it with its user interface and full qwerty keyboard knock Apple off its pedastool? Hardly.. First you must look beyond the gadgets and realize what wireless carrier they have chosen. Sprint is currently digging a pretty deep hole that they must get out of. After Nextel helped to tank the company to a point they are recovering and at drastic measures. So maybe the Palm will help them pull out of the rut, however, with Sprints network being #4 compared to At&t, Verizon and T-mobile thats a big step to climb.

Holy Crap- We need a blog STAT!

Ok we have been running a muck. So here it is ladies and gentlemen a new blog about what better in life. Music. This week we have 2 cds on track. The new Beck Album "Modern Guilt". And rounding second is Death Cab For Cutie "Narrow Stairs".

First off we have Becks new album. Modern Guilt is a great title for this album because Beck should feel guilty for putting out an album of this stature. Its progressive but past what I have come to love. Beck wowed us with songs like Loser, Devils Haircut and Girl. This album has some songs that are reminisient of past. However for the most part the album lacked more of the vocals that made Beck what he is today. Its mostly distorted static and Im glad I picked it up for just $9.99. Moving on from Beck we have the second album of the week. Death Cab for Cutie!!!

Ok Death Cab Fans here we go. Death cabs newest album "Narrow Stairs" is quite amazing. With songs brining a new light to the musical ques from their previous album "Plans" we see much more life to this album. Not so as some would say "emo" as plans was. And if you have heard of the 8 minute song yes its their radio hit " I Will Possess Your Heart" but that does not ruin your album listening because it brings a beautiful interlude of music for your ears to taste until they break it down and start the first verse at 4 mins 33 secs. This album has pop -no not like britney spears. No, folks this album rocks and will become another hit with songs like Bixby Canyon Bridge and No Sunlight. The verses are easy to follow and is definatly on my title tracks to listen to this week.

OK so heres the ScORe!!
Overall I would rate Becks album "Modern Guilt" a 2 out of 5 stars. Its progressive but moving to a new avenue that many older Beck fans may not like.

Death Cab For Cutie gets an amazing 5 out of 5 for delivering an unbelievable performance on this album.

The Whigs Review

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my Blog! 1st blog by for Fresh Music Review!

Here we go this week I have reviewed the recent album The Whigs "Mission Control" and I must say what an awesome album. Mission Control is the first album from The Whigs and this bands full potential is reveled. The fast beats and guitar control make this an excellent album to put on when you need some extra energy. Its a pop/alternative album that falls into the Rock section in most record stores. The album starts of with Like a Vibration which gets you started but by the second track Production City the album really takes off into the full mode. I love it and hopefully you will to. Enjoy the new band The Whigs grab their album now its available through iTunes and your local record shop.
